Stress Less…

Change the way you communicate and operate in your daily life. Express your feelings proactively. Look at the Big Picture and aim for a positive compromise.

Step away from the stressor for just 10-20 minutes. You can incorporate taking deep, cleansing breaths with thoughts of gratitude. Have some grateful thought tucked away for this rainy day. A thought, sound or image you saved for this day will turn your day around. Then you heap another blessing you have tucked away and heap it on. Keep doing this and soon you will be saying, “Bring it on”. Your heart and mind will be insync and you will find yourself humming even though you are walking in the rain.

Your breaths are paramount to you. So be aware of your breathing and make sure they are nice and deeeeep. Your breaths affect the immune and cardio systems.

Your affirmations and visualizations are important to have in your bag of tricks to move you in a positive direction and to keep you calm, cool and directed.

The practice of journaling is very beneficial for your health and well being. Journaling reduces stress by removing the worry and thoughts racing over and over in your mind. You move these worries, concerns, hopes or dreams out of your body onto the paper. The secret is now, the fret is on the paper and you can take an impartial look at it to resolve the issue.

Exercise regularly, sleep, and eat a healthy diet. Physical activity plays a key role in reducing and preventing the effects of stress. Make time for at least 30 minutes of exercise, three times per week. Aerobic exercise does wonders for releasing pent-up stress and tension. Well-nourished bodies are better prepared to cope with stress. Start your day right with breakfast, and keep your energy up and your mind clear with balanced, nutritious meals throughout the day. Reduce caffeine and sugar. Get enough sleep. Adequate sleep fuels your mind, as well as your body.

Keep Smiling in your Stress Less Life…
